Jumbo yield cartridges were first created as a result of requests from dealers providing MPS (managed print services) programs. Jumbo yield cartridges enabled these dealers to increase their profit margins by significantly decreasing their cost per page. Some MPS dealers also are able to decrease their labor costs as a result of the increase in time between replacing toner cartridges.

But even dealers not offering MPS programs have recognized the benefits of jumbo toner cartridges and are benefiting from selling these cartridges.

Many dealers who were committed to selling only American-made products were having difficulty competing with Chinese-made products. Because jumbo yield toner cartridges extend the life of a toner cartridge over a higher number of pages, the prevalence of cheap, inferior foreign molded cores is diluted.
